WHY WATER?

Water is one of the main human needs
In Mbinudita, water is one of the energies that is currently quite difficult to obtain, apart from the rocky soil type which causes the water to be far from the ground.

How do the Mbinudita people get water
About 1.5 – 3 Km from the residential area, there is a fairly large spring called Matawai Payunu, usually the Mbinudita people take water there to meet their daily water needs. By using 5 liter jerry cans, usually 1 person can take 3-5 jerry cans, but with cow or buffalo transportation aids, they can load up to 10 jerry cans more.

There is also a traditional well, with a depth of 12-35 meters which is actually a rainwater catchment. Usually mothers also queue to wash clothes and take them home for kitchen needs. Not infrequently also found livestock also joined the queue to get water rations.

What are we going to do for them?
We will drill wells for Mbinudita school residents and residents around Mbinudita school. This drilling well will be carried out by a team that has experience in East Sumba to be able to find good groundwater with various types of soil and rock. This drilled well is estimated to have a depth of approximately 60-90 meters.

Where will the well be drilled?
This drill well will be dug on Mr. Indra’s land, a distance of approximately 160-250 meters below the school with a depth of approximately 60 meters.
