We bring technology, tools and materials, as well as knowledge to overcome the problem of water scarcity that exists in the 3T region (underdeveloped, outermost, leading). Rotary drilling machine to search for water sources capable of penetrating depths of up to 45 meters whose water sources are sought through the Roteks underground water detector. We send generators from Bali, as well as submersible water pumps and pipes from Java. All the equipment, tools and materials, as well as transportation in the #WaterConnection #Mbinudita project were made possible thanks to our donors and the coordination work of the teams in #Bali and #Sumba.
However, we still need the people’s energy and commitment in maintaining what we have built together so that the benefits continue to flow in a sustainable manner to future generations. Working together to build facilities that will be used together will indirectly foster a sense of ownership which in the end makes everyone involved to take part in maintaining and preserving its functions.
After the pump was finally able to deliver water to the main ferrocement tank near the school, it was time to deliver water to people’s homes. For this reason, we ask for the commitment of the villagers in procuring pipes to drain water per RT. We will provide the pipes first, then the residents will replace them based on an agreement. Because most of the residents’ work is farming, several RTs agreed to finish it after harvesting, namely RT 12 and RT 04. Another RT, RT 03, will settle in installments.
Gradually the blessings began to spread. Even though it had to be a long and tiring process, many smiles grew with the approach of clean water and healthy sanitation.
