Free Medical Check-up
Tropical Cyclone Seroja also has an impact on the health of the people of East Sumba.
Health facilities and medical teams are currently limited as most areas are still isolated with a wide coverage of affected areas.
Mauliru village is one of the villages affected quite severely because of its location on the side of the Kambaniru river. Most of the villages are submerged in water so that the surrounding communities are affected in health.
This Health Checkpoint was initiated by Kawan Baik Foundation and Fair Future Foundation with the full support of partners who work in collaboration, with the help of local health workers led by Doctors @aldo_anapaku
The most widely received complaints by health workers are coughs, colds, diarrhea, high blood pressure and itching in the skin. With prescriptions written by medical personnel who check, the pharmacy team delivers the drug for free.
In addition to health checks, in an effort to prevent the spread of Corona Virus, a team of volunteers also distributed medical masks, and for children distributed vitamin supplement supplements.
