Happy Kartini Day, Indonesian women!

Kartini’s birthday is not only celebrated by wearing a kebaya but also igniting the spirit, after darkness comes light, like one of the titles of her book. As the aristocratic daughter of the regent’s father, Kartini used her privilege in seeking equal education for women.

We also met amazing Kartinis at #Mbinudita. The spirit of strong women in bringing clean water to the family. Drawing water, lifting sand, digging hard rocky ground, for the sake of a source of clean water that is getting closer. Kartini’s spirit exists for the sake of family health, socio-economics and better education of children in Sumba.
