The drilling process at Mbinudita has started today, this time the location is at the house of Mr. Marten (Bunga Ladang). Prior to the drilling process the community carried out a joint prayer, for residents who still believe in Marapu (Sumba’s local belief) carry out a prayer ritual according to their beliefs. While residents who are Christians also carry out worship together.
This joint prayer is carried out with the aim of asking for the protection and guidance of the creator for all drilling processes and what the community hopes for good results.
Residents then close all series of worship by carrying out a meal together. Foodstuffs are the result of donations from residents who enthusiastically helped drill this well.
Since the beginning of the drilling preparation process, residents have actively participated in helping the Drilling Team to speed up the drilling process.
Today’s situation is heavy rain, the residents also work together to make shelter from tarpaulins and also emergency tents belonging to Kawan Baik, so that the drilling process can continue.
