Get rid of heavy terrain, the Regent of East Sumba visit with a trail bike
With the Motor Trail the Regent of East Sumba, Drs. Khristofel Praing, M.Sc., accompanied by Mr. Alex from the Fair Furture Foundation walks through the villages in Mbinu Dita village on Saturday, June 25, 2022.
In addition to traveling around the village, this activity is scheduled to see firsthand the facilities and benefits of the #mbinuditawaterconnections project initiated by the Kawan Baik Indonesia Foundation and the Fair Furture Foundation with the Mbinu Dita village community.
The first location visited was Lai Tujuk Village, RT 03, Tana Karang Hamlet and then continued with monitoring the location of water sources from the top of the hill where the school building is located, while walking around and looking at the water facilities, comrade Gogon, who is the program manager for the Kawan Baik Foundation, explained technically how appropriate processes and technology are applied so that it is easy to reach villages in the Mbinu Dita area.
While in Lai Tujuk village, the Regent of East Sumba also had the opportunity to try to taste the clean water sourced from the 6000 liter reservoir. He appreciated the help and hard work that the foundation had done together with the Mbinu Dita community,
Active participation and self-help of the community will strengthen the sense of belonging to the facilities built, plus he can directly see how the potential of people’s lives can change for the better after getting access to water, one of which is the establishment of a nutritional garden around the reservoir which is currently available.
Kawan Baik Indonesia and the Fair Furture Foundation are still continuing the Mbinudita Water Connections project in order to reach more people who have difficulty accessing clean water.
In the current third phase of the project, the first drilled well which is under the foot of the school hill has been successfully lifted to the top of the hill with a 300 meter pipe connection, and currently 6 Ferrocement reservoirs have been built which have been connected to a 1500 meter pipeline. reach 3 residential villages that are far apart.
