Background
Kawan Baik Indonesia Foundation, Fair Future Foundation and Rumah Sanur Creative have collaborated during the COVID-19 Community Care #kawanbaikbagi pandemic since early March 2020 to provide supplies of healthy food, vitamins, masks and hand sanitizers for the community in Bali.
On April 3, 2020, the Regional Government issued a regulation paving the way for the Restriction of Community Activities (PKM), which is equivalent to the closure of part of the island or PSBB on a national scale. This special moment requires offices, schools, markets, places of worship and public spaces to be closed. Practically the majority of activities outside the home are eliminated but the recommendation to work from home or Work from Home (WFH) cannot be applied in several economic sectors and requires some people to continue to do activities outside the home.
Measures to suppress the spread of the virus that were carried out based on public awareness and the level of compliance with government advice were able to reduce the rate of virus spread in Bali. After 3 months of implementing PKM, pushing back to a normal transition period in order to meet the needs of clothing and food. Fakta yang dihadapkan adalah ketika masyarakat melakukan kegiatan di luar rumah, mereka mengenakan masker wajah, handsanitizer atau mencuci tangan dan menjaga jarak yang aman satu sama lain. The new policy allows all businesses, including warungs, restaurants, malls, traditional markets and grocery stores, to continue to operate and other social activities to continue as normal.
Kawan Baik Indonesia takes on the role of a social foundation, continuing in social responses to assist the Government in meeting the needs of food and health equipment to prevent the transmission of the virus. Another role is to assist and encourage people to return to their activities and fulfill their primary needs during the pandemic. Collaborating with Kunang Jewelry and ToKo Concept Store to involve the community of vulnerable groups in Denpasar Women’s Prison to participate in sewing masks which will later be used to fill Goodie Bags aided by COVID-19 Community Care Chapter III Kawan Baik Berbagi.
