PROBLEM

Community Health Service in Praiwangga Hamlet, Umalulu Village
Community Health Service in Praiwangga Hamlet, Umalulu Village Praiwangga Hamlet in Umalulu Village has been selected as the site for a Community Health Service initiative, part of the 2025 Primary Medical Care (PMC) program. This activity includes basic health check-ups, early detection of malaria infections, and health education and promotion for local residents.

The area continues to face significant challenges, including limited access to healthcare services, a high risk of malaria transmission due to poor environmental conditions, and low public awareness of Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS).

Through this program, we aim to deliver essential medical services directly to the community while increasing awareness about disease prevention and the importance of self-care.

Our Action & Goals

A total of 100 residents of Umalulu Village received free general health check-ups, including blood sugar, cholesterol, uric acid, and malaria screening as part of early disease detection efforts. Among them, 75 individuals showing symptoms underwent specific malaria testing for timely and appropriate treatment.

All participants also took part in educational sessions on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) and infectious disease prevention. These sessions were delivered using interactive media to ensure the health messages were easily understood and applicable across all age groups.

The activity was carried out by a professional medical team, including doctors and nurses, as part of a broader effort to improve health awareness and access to care in rural communities.
