The disease pattern, which is dominated by eye irritation, cough, fever, and headache, shows that the majority of illnesses experienced by the community are mild and common, which can be easily treated and do not require special treatment.

However, the role of health trainees in providing appropriate services and preventing worse conditions without early treatment is very important to improve people’s quality of life. Efforts to improve health and prevent disease must also continue to be made to avoid more serious diseases.

With the success that has been achieved by the Kawan Baik Foundation and Fair Future Foundation as well as partners (Sumba Volunteer and Charis School) who have been involved in the activity, recommending the Kawan Sehat Basic Medical Care Program in Rural East Sumba to be adopted and implemented by the government and other partners in throughout Indonesia to improve the quality of public health, especially children, mothers and elderly patients in remote and hard-to-reach areas.
