We have sent a few hundred kilos of ingredients, dry and healthy food, masks, hand sanitizers, and many other things for kids and family Sumba!
As you know, Kawan Baik Indonesia and Fair Future Foundation have operated mainly on Sumba island since 2019, which is one of the poorest areas in the Indonesian archipelago. Unfortunately, the virus has not saved the citizens, most of which do not have water, electricity or medical facilities to meet the needs of this pandemic.
Our partners in Sumba and all kawan baik, sent 100 “Bags for Life” (Our Goodies Bags) on 28th April 2020. This delivery is aimed at school children where we did our project there, in the middle from where or almost. For Sumba and his children, the pockets of life contain milk, cereals that are rich in nutrients, sacred cakes, comics made for them with the intention of telling them about viruses, colored pencils, antiseptic gels (because, once again, they do) do not have access to water (which cannot often they wash hands), masks, sanitary pads, as well as information brochures for all their families
“They heard about viruses and they were told to protect themselves from the virus, so they started making masks with pieces and two plastic water bottles and tied with ropes in their heads.
